Warehouse management apps can help businesses track stock movement, manage storage locations, handle barcode scanning, and maintain better control over goods received and goods issued. A useful warehouse app on Android can reduce manual work and improve accuracy in daily stock operations.

We reviewed some of the free Warehouse Management Apps on Play Store and came up with the below list.

It is a free app with in-app purchases.

Pros:

a. WAMA turns an Android phone into a warehouse barcode scanner.

b. It supports real-time stock tracking and warehouse inventory updates.

c. Product details can include code, name, photo, barcode, supplier, and location.

d. Lot numbers and expiry dates can also be tracked.

e. It supports both Android and web access for back-office work.

f. It may be useful for businesses that need barcode scanning plus a web dashboard.

Some helpful comments on Play Store:

1. Took me six months to find this app. This app only came up for me after searching the keyword "warehouse". We first have to try WAMA out and see if it works for us. We are looking for the ability to manage transfer of stock between locations/stores, and have an overall view of stock levels across all locations/stores, in addition to POS functionality. We don't know yet how well it does them. So far though, POS barcode scanner within is top-notch, it will make checkout a breeze.

2. Wama is an excellent warehouse inventory management app. We have been using it for about 6 months now and find it very convenient for updating inventory via smartphone after a physical count or on a daily basis as product is pulled from the warehouse. It is very convenient to be able to use both smartphone and web browser for different updates or reports. Currently, we are adding inventory through an adjustment when product is received, but In the near future, we will be using it for tracking upcoming inventory additions with the purchase orders feature. Eventually, we want to use it to also project stock depletion and required order dates for products based on the lead time of the order from the date of receiving a product. The team behind Wama is super-responsive. I have messaged them twice with a small issue or request and had a response almost instantly. Great support!
